About Carl East

About Carl East

Carl East was born in 1956, in the City of Hull (officially Kingston upon Hull), in Northeast England. He began his writing career after turning 40, beginning with imaginative tales and then moving onto short stories. In the years that followed, he improved his writing skills with the help of other writers and online authors who gave of their time and skills, to offer advice and constructive criticism.
His vivid imagination took off as his writing explored the various genres of Science Fiction, Horror and Romance. He attained his greatest success while writing Erotic Fiction as he weaved stories of lusty encounters with distinctively entertaining characters to tickle the fancy of the growing fans of Erotica.
The years of heading out the door to a factory, manufacturing, or service job is now a thing of the past. Instead, he spends his time in a pleasantly chaotic home office, legs stretched out as he ponders his next story. With a steaming hot cup of tea and snacks by his side, the keyboard silently awaits, for the next “Ah Ha Moment” when another story begins.

I thought the first story was pretty good, though a bit over the top. The rest leftme chuckling more than aroused by the overabundant sexual misadventures.

Great book and writer! It is a good enjoyable read. All the elements keep it interesting throughout.

Sadly I have to agree with some of the other reviews, namely that the female characters just have no depth are not believable and basically act like sluts. I know it's 'erotica' but still... the word misogynist does come to mind.

Read the first story and that was enough to convince me not to continue, dialogue seems unnatural and almost kind of robotic, just doesn't feel real or do anything for me. Not sure about the whole misogyny thing. Just read as being really basic.

A light read, amusing in places, but not quite to my taste.

"The Haunted House" is introductory for a very good reason - It's by far the best one. It is quite enjoyable. The mystic elements not only keep you interested in the plot development as well as make the erotic parts less ordinary. The language choice is just about great for an erotica and I do not believe it was badly structured at all - It was a great tale. The others, though, weren't anywhere near the first. I must admit I left most of them unfinished. I'm giving a four because the first story itself is quite worth downloading, and who knows, maybe other readers will keep on with the others better than I did.

Hoo boy. Well, it is written by a man, and the stories I think really are more for men than women. Though having said that my husband read a few pages over my shoulder and laughed, so maybe I don't know who this was written for?

Plots were very thin on all of them, in fact they read a bit like a bad porno. No substance to any of them (except maybe the first one, but even that was graphic).

I'm not sure how or why this is #2 on Smashwords... it really isn't that great.

As far as erotica, this was ok. Some of it seemed overdone. I actually liked the plot within the story, I wish that could have been exploited more. I was more drawn to why these two girls were ghosts and why they were trapped. I was happy with that part of the story, but the sex parts were lacking. Thanx though, I did enjoy it.

"Oh my God, I’m getting a blowjob from a spook." LOL C'mon, it's cute! Surely it's basic, boring, and not very imaginative, but sometimes it's so bad it's good. You want something brainy, though, read something else.

The stories were okay, very descriptive. Well written but a little slow paced. The erotic scenes were pretty basic.

The author is a good enough writer to suck you in for a bit. His voice is good, so you can't go wrong with a free book. i found the over use of adjectives a little off-putting, and the erotic part was less than erotic. Give it try. I don't know why people gave it 5 stars, maybe they're all his friends, but one star is too mean. I'll straddle the fence.

I just finished the first story--the Halloween story. Wow! What a great story.
I loved it and can't believe it was in a free book. It is a story I doubt I will ever
forget. Now I am looking forward to reading the rest of the short stories in the book. Many thanks to the author. You are obviously gifted and talented and know how to write. Seldom would one expect to find such quality in erotica.

I was curious what an erotic book would be like. Yes, I just lost my erotic-book-v-card. I'm actually surprised at how I felt about it. I would not have thought that such simple and direct stories could turn me on, but I enjoyed this more than any erotic video I've ever seen. I especially liked the supernatural aspect, which is something that would be very hard to do well outside of a book.

I'm sorry but this was terrible. I couldn't even get past the first chapter. What is there to dislike about this book? How about the writing, the boring sex, the mish-mash of teen boy fantasy done very, very poorly? There's better free erotica out there that doesn't feel like it was written by a 12 year old boy with too much unsupervised access to the internet and his dad's dude magazines.

While I wasn't too attracted to the erotic part of the stories, the fantasy and science fiction was great! The sci-fi stories work your imagination and forbid you stop reading. I would have loved to read long individual novels about these fantasy worlds! But, it leaves a lot to the imagination and that is also great! I must say though that some of the sexual encounters were a bit too obscene and I had to skip through. Also, a little more work on the grammar is needed even though the errors are minor and understandable. But overall, I loved the science fiction part of the stories.

I don't know what's more offputting, the constant misogyny or the constant terrible grammar. The sex scenes are boring and repetitive. And you don't need to recap the story at the start of every chapter when your chapters are five pages long, unless you think your readers are idiots.
