Sometimes it's difficult to write a review of something that you really didn't enjoy and this is one of those times. I've been trying to think why I had such a negative response to it and I'm struggling to put it into words.
OK, I did not feel that this guy was a superhero even in his best years. He is like the office nerd who goes around annoying everyone with a tablecloth tied around his neck pretending to be Superman. In other words a very annoying character. He had no personality about him to make me like him, being grumpy and rude. I also found no humour in the story which is what I was hoping for when I downloaded it, so it all fell a bit flat for me. Overall I just got bored and stopped reading.

I loved this story. It is very well written, and pulls you in right from the beginning. The main character, the Crimson Overcoat, is a retired superhero now working for a magician. He rescues one of Santa's elves from a rampaging dwarf, the reward being a flight for his life across the north pole, ending in a steampunk showdown with Santa.
I can't wait to read the further adventures of Crimson Overcoat!
