This is a fun story, but it needs a lot of work. I couldn't get through all of it. I liked the bit about cities growing their food entirely within the inner city. I wanted to hear more, but instead the story launched into some fairly juvenile stuff about past lives and cheesy destinies. The version I read also needed a bit of copyediting - there were huge gaps between paragraphs and it wasn't that pleasant to read.
