It is not 1901 without a sovereignty wishing to seize another country...or perhaps the world.

Garlin is a land where the gifted lived apart from the rest of humanity, and when Emerelda's father died, Emerelda was forced to leave Garlin for one reason: to stop the King's plan. Emerelda comes across the Crimson Comitium after being saved in England-a group of young adults who sweep underworld crimes for Her Royal Majesty, the Queen. Sadly, her fate becomes entwined with theirs and Emerelda is forced to put her trust in people she barely knows in order to stop the King of Garlin. Will they reciprocate her trust? Or would they do it out of fear that she might speak the truth?

Through deaths, betrayals, and scandals, Emerelda realized that perhaps everything was much more than she expected...and she was not prepared for any of it.
