A specially gratifying read since I share so much of my past with the lead character. I recognized neighborhood streets and was reminded of my one trip to the Boundary Waters with friends and family when I was 15 (a trip given to the under-appreciative attitudes of youth). Impressive trip for anyone to undertake alone! The story flows well from thought-to-thought, day-to-day, adventure-to-adventure. It is interesting and entertaining while being a cathartic growth experience for the character/author. Good book Geno!
