I think any generation could relate to the story. As our school years are winding down, we all struggle with the future and how we are going to tackle it. There is confusion, hope and the need to face reality.

In this book we could feel the friendship bond of the three main characters, the angst of being a teenager and the blooming boy-girl relationship that could have turned into love. The book took me through so many emotions ... laughing, surprise, happy, sad and coming to terms with the ending.

I enjoyed the book very much. It was an easy read.

This was a very enjoyable read. The very descriptive writing allowed the reader to "be there" as things were described and places were talked about. The pace was was really smooth and the transitions were well done. I am from Hawaii and of that generation so I could really relate to the times and the mannerisms of the people. I believe even those who have never been to Hawaii and especially those of the younger generations will enjoy this very nostalgic book. It shows the typical life of friends growing up in an island enviroment.
Very well done Gary.
