After a grave betrayal, a young Princess is sent on a quest to search for a figure of mythic status: The Black Knight. Hailed by some as a hero, by others he is seen as evil incarnate, but the truth is more complex than any could imagine.

About Sean Christopher Allen

After literally years of delays, setbacks, side projects, rewrites and concept changes, work has once again commenced on the second act of 'The Black Knight,' which is currently untitled.

It will be ready for publication someday in the future.

In order to ease the wait, however, a short interlude story is being written for release sometime soon (hopefully by the end of 2016) which will answer some questions concerning certain characters and events within 'The Black Knight' that seem to have been left hanging or omitted. Size and pricing is yet to be determined, but will likely be in the 1 to 2 U.S. dollar range in an effort to help fund the completion of the full sequel. Writers have bills too ;)

A Novella bridging the gap between TBK and its in-production follow up.

"The Black Knight: Sin of the Fathers - A Dark Memory"

First Draft has just been completed after a 7 hour writing marathon. A smidgen under 63,000 words, but that will change when it's time for the first editing pass. Based on iTunes ebook standards, it's currently 252 pages long. Not quite a mere novella any longer.

Even I'm surprised by how I ended it, but anyone who paid attention to the first novel should see it coming.

Pricing still TBD

Dropped the pen name in favor of something a little more.. me. Updated TBK accordingly, along with a new cover, in preparation for the release of "Sin of the Fathers" in the near future.

Also in Series: Legacy of the Black Knight

I love fantasy novels and this one definitely didn't disappoint. It was very well written, intriguing and unique. It was longer than I had anticipated which usually wouldn't have been a problem because when you like a book you normally don't want it to end...I just have a lot of books on my list ;) I was slightly disappointed that the ending after all that was, but again when you like the story and characters there is nothing wrong with that. And I did indeed so I look forward to the next installment. Highly recommend it.

As suggested by SC Allen, an editor's polish would benefit the work. However, it does not distract from this epic fantasy in the least. The bones of the story are solid and the mysteries enticing for the reader till the very end. While I enjoy using my imagination, I would love to read more detailed physical descriptions of the characters....through their own eyes as well as their we all see ourselves differently and falls in line with the story itself.

IMHO this story has the potential to be akin to George R. R. Martin's Fire and Ice series. I look forward to the next installments. I only hope it isn't so akin to the former series that it takes years of anticipation before the books are available. Highly recommended read.

The writing started out a little choppy, but even in 'un-edited format' the story turned out great. Looking foward to the next one. :)

Great fantasy story with fun characters and an interesting plot line that seemed fresh, rather than overused. It was a nice read. I would definitely recommend this book to any book lover, not just fantasy nerds like me.

This was a beautiful and wonderfully told story. I could hardly put it down. My only complaint would be that there isn't a sequel. I do hope there will be.

As others have expressed before me, thank you for sharing this terrific story with us, and for so generously doing it gratis.

Wow! An epic read! I was very engrossed and enthusiastic by the adventures and revelations it had fed to me everyday that it made me very sad and heartbroken as I've finished reading it. Ooh...yes it was great but the ending of the story had caught me off-guard,i really didn't expect that 'that' would happen in the end. it really made me cry. i'm really very sorry for her. I never anticipated that this book was tearjerker.

A fine work. A great author. Honestly I would really miss this book, i wish there would be a sequel for this.
I look forward to reading more of your works in the future!

Good day sir/ma'am!

I think I have sat here staring at the screen for what seems like hours trying to come up with that perfect review.. Alas I do not think any words would do a review justice. I can only hope that this is only the first I will read of their adventures. Thank you for sharing your story with us.
