I recently received an invite to download this book and write a review, and I am very impressed with this story, and especially the character! I have 4 children, ages, 1,5,8, and 19, and the youngest 3 were thrilled to have this story read to them, and giggled at all of the hilarious things that happened to Chick-E at her new job! This is such a good story that teaches a very important lesson, and we are all excited and anxiously awaiting the next volumes! By the way, if you haven't checked into who exactly Chick-E is, you have to visit her site! She is a very cool and helpful role model for kids, pre teens and teens and I am happy to see such a neat character online for our children!

This was a cute short eBook that I really enjoyed. Two of my grand-kids have read it and liked it. Long books don't hold their interest so I was thrilled this one wasn't too long. I will keep it handy for my other grand-children when they are old enough to read it. There are lessons in here all children can learn which is why I had my older grand-children read it. Thank you for a great read.

Adorable children's book. Great read for a child! (Need to be a somewhat mature child due to some content of the book.) The book is full of many adjectives that depicts a very vivid picture in one's mind. What a child will take from this book is very important - go for what you want, never give up, make the best out of a bad situation, and most of all - just love life! A wonderful book for a child to read to remember how you sometimes need to look at a situation in a different light.

It is a very short read if you are used to reading 500 or more pages like I am. It took me about 15 minutes, but it was a really good 15 minutes. Chick-E decides on her walk home from school that she would like to get a job. She determines that it must be when she sees the Help Wanted sign at Mama Romano's restaurant. She immediately applies and gets the job. The rest of the story talks about how much of a disaster her first day of waitressing is and how she handles a bad situation. She learns that you can't be good at everything you do, but you must learn to make the best of a bad situation. She shows real strength in believing in herself and creativity in problem solving. It is a wonderful read for early adolescents (could be read as early as 6 or 7 depending on your child). I am actually looking forward to seeing how other books in the series go. I think it will make a wonderful addition to our bookshelf for the future.
