About Wendy Nettles

I have been writing since I can remember. Although it has taken 20 some odd years to finally put something out there for others to read. It's scary and exciting at the same time to see how people will react to your personal ideas. I am married to a wonderful man now for 14 years and have 2 beautiful sons. I work shift work and most of my creative writing is done in the wee hours of the morning on graveyards. I am looking forward to hearing feedback, positive and negative so that I may work on my technique and make it better. Thanks in advance.

Ms. Nettles captured me from the beginning with her ability to weave a story. However, she needs to work on her language skills. She used the word "wanders" repeatedly when she should have used "wonders". She referred to two unmarried ladies as senoras and at one time referred to a married lady as mademoiselle. Her most egregious errlr in the use of foreign languages was her repeated misspelling of the French word for "yes". Although it sound like the English word "we", it is not spelled "w-i". It is spelled o"-u-i".

An occasional error is not a a big deal to me, since we are all human and make mistakes. However, I am sincerely disappointed in authors who do not care enough about their readers to take the time and effort to put out a quality product. Readers, such as myself, invest a lot of time in reading and should receive a good return on that investment.

It did make for a good historical romance. I almost skipped over it because of the picture and not a cover, thinking that it may not have been worth to read. So I'm thinking others may be skipping over this because of the cover, so I recommend that one be put on, fitting as a historical romance, with the title and author, etc.

I liked it, even though I normally don't like historical romance, it was nice. I would have liked a little more ending.

Ms Nettles - my sixteen-year-old daughter absolutely LOVED your book! She said that it was among the 'greatest reads,' and she's always been an avid reader! I MUST add you to my favorite author list. I'm new to smashwords and my daughter and I are so excited about it.
