This is a suspenseful short story where the plot becomes thicker and thicker until the climax, which is well handled. The story's deliberately leisurely pace only highlights the subtle shocks which the author presents to the reader throughout the narrative. Well done.

I loved "The Garden" by T. Masters-Heinrichs. The author does an excellent job in keeping the reader's attention from the opening sentence to the sinister end! I also liked that the setting occurs in rural Manitoba, Canada. I highly recommend reading "The Garden."
