I'm not really sure how I felt about this story, while it had a lot of potential, I was distracted, by the style of speech the author used, the characters flip flopped back and forth from modern day speech to speech that reflected an earlier century, being a short story coming in at around 60 pages the author would have done well sticking with one or the other. I enjoyed the overall concept of the story it had great bones, but I felt it was rushed at the end, I think it would translate better by making it a touch longer, you have an epic battle that is glossed over and I was left wanting a better resolution. With that said I'm not a huge fan of short stories/Novellas as I always end up wanting more out of it in end.

"Something's Coming" by Lisa M. Schuch is the story of two sisters, witches who try to live low profile lives, but are continually drawn into high profile situations. The book does a good job at depicting how difficult it can be to fit in, especially under extraordinary circumstances. A love triangle destined to fail ultimately forces the sisters to face off to betrayal, lust, and death. The tale is tragic, but finds a way to close with a happy ending. "Something's Coming" was fast paced with interesting characters.

Lisa Schuch demonstrates a powerful command of the paranormal romance genre, and builds a gripping, fascinating story.
"Something's Coming" has just the right balance of emotion, suspense and adventure, and had me gripped from start to finish. The human qualities of the characters are well developed, and though the fantasy elements sparkle, I was drawn into their journey throughout the book.
This book is sure to be enjoyed by fans of fantasy/paranormal tales. It has a captivating storyline with well developed characters that make it a compelling page-turner.
I look forward to reading more of this author's work.

"Something’s Coming" tells the story of Roxxi - an independent, female witch - meeting up with a stranger she finds on the side of the road, injured. There is more to the injured man - Dominic - than meets the eye, and we learn a lot about him and Roxxi as they get to know each other. Then, people from Roxxi’s past show up, and that leads to troublesome circumstances that Roxxi and Dominic must face and conquer.

Something's Coming: a Fantastical Ride
Lisa Schuch's first published book, Something's Coming, is a treat for readers who enjoy a paranormal tale with a heated romance thrown in for good measure, and a bit of intrigue on the side.
It stops short of falling into the trap of getting trashy, which is both welcome and appropriate. Any attempt to trash up the romance would have taken from the main storyline and weakened the characters considerably.
The author's first attempt hits home with strong characters, smooth transition, and vibrant storytelling. Readers with find each is more than glad Something’s Coming!

Something's Coming by Lisa Schuch is a grand adventure into paranormal romance with a bit of suspense thrown in. The book's heroin, Roxxi, is strong as both a character and a person. This novel is a fantastic read; carrying with its words images of the happenings that bring the reader deep into the midst of tale as it unfolds.
This reader's only complaint is that it left me wanting more. Some consider that a mandate of a good book, play, movie, or show; but for the reader it breeds a great deal of irritation. Passed this small hiccup, Something's Coming is a wild and enthralling ride into the lives of characters that could easily be a friend or neighbor, but live extraordinary lives with exceptional abilities.
I thoroughly enjoyed this book and look forward to reading more from this author. I would recommend this novel to anyone that enjoys the paranormal, a romance, some combination of both, or Fiction in general. Just be prepared to want more when finished...I know I did.
