Of course, Kate Williams knew it all had to be a dream, or rather a sick, perverse nightmare. Toys did not really come to life in the middle of the night and strap you to your bed and cut your nightdress off and do the terrible things to her that these had. Nor could they make her couple with her best friend Angela - with a wooden snake acting as a phallic intermediary - even if several teddy bears did have her naked and helplessly gagged, hobbled and leashed. It also meant that Kate must have imagined that their ringleader, the sinister Mister Punch, had some plan in mind for her that went beyond her mere shame and humiliation at being gang-banged by assorted toys. But she would wake up before she found out what that purpose was because, as she kept telling herself, it was only a dream! Wasn't it?
