Vicious Lives

It's a dead-end is Grimsby, the end of the track. Next stop the Humber estuary. Or the North Sea. 20 years ago, on a sticky, brooding summer's night, with all the recklessness of youth, three young, vodka-sozzled teenage girls, bubbling with fun, head for the local park in high spirits, determined to have a good time. About Ken James

Ken James lives quietly in the Lincolnshire countryside with his wife Mary and their two dogs and occasionally gets as pissed as a fart while searching for somewhere more permanent to live.
He started out as a qualified engineer and ended up ram-raiding charity shops to support an obsession with fine old clothing and discarded crime novels.
In between he played guitar, hung out, sold stuff, cleaned windows in very high buildings, started a business and met some very dodgy people. He finally wrote his first book.

Now, I know what you're thinking - did he say 260,000 or only 250,000 words? Well to tell you the truth, in all the excitement, I've kinda lost track myself. But being this is probably the longest crime book on the site, and quite a stretch, you've got to ask yourself one question. 'Have I got the stamina, have I got the balls to give it a go, do I feel lucky?'. Well, whaddya say punk - go ahead, make my day.
