Review by: Mariel Grey on Jan. 5, 2014 :
Liz Fielding manages to distill the A,B, C's of good writing craft into easy to digest chunks. Her book makes it easier for new writers to grasp complex subjects in a way similar to what Debra Dixon did in her book, "Goal, Motivation and Conflict " She gives many concrete examples to demonstrate her points and sometimes rewrites these examples to show the difference. Liz does a good job of summarizing her discussions in bullet points at the end of a subject. She's right when she said it's the book she wish she had starting out. I highly recommend it to anyone who wants to write romance.

As an aspiring romance author this is exactly what I needed to kick-start my current manuscript. Liz Fielding has the knack of telling all you need to know, in an easy read, with excellent examples of her own work to make her point.
Wish I had found this gem years ago.
