Bencodi is a very fun read that constantly builds and kept me engaged throughout. I really like stories where the characters work to build/grow/amass/save etc. It conveys the feeling that things are always in motion very well. I look forward to the continued exploration of space in the next book!

I enjoyed the story a lot, but there were some issues that kept me from giving it 5 stars. With all of the major events happening one after the other I felt like there wasn't enough time spent on character development in some places. A few of the supporting characters either felt too similar or too cliche. Also, there were some typos and grammar mistakes that could have easily been caught if the author had had a few more pairs of eyes read it before publication.
