About Patricia Iles

I believe in the power of the storyteller: from the famous filmmaker to your grandmother's stories about her youth, I think a passion for stories are hard-wired into our minds.

Films give us stories that are shown to us in vibrant detail. Books let us create that colorful image in our own minds. I love both and always have.

Let me take you on a journey in your imagination. You'll meet some new people and get a look into their lives. You will like some of those people, and you may hate some others. You may find yourself reaching for a tissue while you read, and you might even laugh out loud a few times.

I write for fun. I blog for fun. I cook for fun. And I clean because I have to.

This book was very enjoyable. Anyone who likes to delve into historical fiction will be captured by the characters and family portrayed in this story. The large family shows how love, determination, and faith helped our early settlers to be successful.

I really enjoyed this book. It had everything - family bonds, childhood dreams, adult adventures, multi-generational challenges, cultural differences, and how important love is. This book is one you could read over and over. Nicely Done, Patricia.
