It seemed that the main character Ella is a mess. Plus there were not any development of story's characters to create an emotional bond with the reader.
I think the premise of this story is good, however, a lot more could have been done with the story.

This was a thought-provoking short story with various twists and turns which made perfect sense, in light of the characters, and their individual mindsets. The theme of someone trying to find themselves, making mistakes along the way, and, how the messiness of life itself gets in the way sometimes, is well-handled.

The writing was good, but I didn't enjoy the story. It flowed well, but with so much use of exclamation points I felt like the characters were constantly yelling at each other.

I was surprised by the other reviews. I didn't like the character or the choices she made. But I guess we are all different.
