It's true, it is not romance and it doesn't contain sex. That shouldn't stop any self-respecting lesbian spanko to buy it. Or any spanko for that matter.
Magic! Stern teacher! Best buddies having fun and being brattily loyal to each other! Of course, our heroine is more loyal than her friend.
Loki Renard handles very well both the magical aspects of the story and a realistic portrayal of boarding school life.
When it comes to the girls friendship... They are both likable but you will like better the protagonist, who is somewhat naive and, one could argue, easily talked into naughtiness. Isn't this a very common thing in boarding schools, Harry let's fight You-Know-Who Potter?
So, two naughty girls having fun, nonono, make it two naughty witches having fun (this is important), a very stern teacher making it all the funnier, at least for the reader.
Some very warm and fuzzy moments where our heroine realizes she fits in, she has a place in the world, she is cared for even if she gets her bottom warmed, or precisely because she gets her bottom warmed?
It's always like that, isn't it? Sitting comfortably in an uncaned bottom, I was awwing at all that caring caning in this book.
And when I was not awing, I was laughing out loud.
