Crescent Bound
By Karli Rush

Karli takes us into the life of Alyssa, a young teen witch that is finding herself. Alyssa participates in the human world but lives in her world where Magic is real and she is accepted by family and Coven. Each witch has a mate and when they find each other they become crescent bound. Their crescents show the world that they belong to someone. When she meets Marc she thinks he is a regular human and fears her attachment for him. She can only be bound with a Witch.
Alyssa loves to work on her car and does it with her dad. She shares with him a love for racing. Who would guess that in the Witch world they have their own racetracks and how did Marc get there if he is a human. The track is warded to keep the humans out. Alyssa’s dad recognizes that Marc is from a long line of witches and invites him into the coven. Marc has only lived in the human world and does not understand all there is in his new way of life. He does know that he values his life with Alyssa but is still challenged by feelings for an old girlfriend. When Alyssa and he become Crescent bound he has no idea how much hurt will come from on little kiss with another. Will Marc and Alyssa learn to trust each other again? Will she be able to forgive him?
Alyssa’s old boy friend tries to come back into her life and leaves a girl that is anything but understanding. She soon blames Alyssa for all the wrongs in her life and Alyssa is in for a fight with dark magic and is taken into a world created by a witch that has chosen evil. How will Alyssa find her way out of the dark realm and will she and Marc be able to save their relationship? These are all things you will find out when you read what it is to be Crescent Bound.

**This book was given to me for Free by the author.**

When I first discovered this book I thought to myself, "Witches? Hmm." Well, I'd like to say, that was the only moment I ever doubted reading this book. Once I started reading. I couldn't put it down. I was fully submerged in the world of Alyssa Worthington. This is an excellent debut novel for Karli Rush.

Alyssa is a fire elemental, she belongs to one of the most powerful witches covens, which her father is the head of. Alyssa and her 2 best friends attend regular high school until they graduate, then they get to go to the witches school. Alyssa meets Marc at school, thing is she and her friends are cloaked, for the most part noone should be able to see her. Turns out mark is adopted and came from a witching family, he just didn't know if. As Alyssa a Marc become closer, her fire element turns into his ice element. In the story line are exes that are bad, bad news and racing, magic and *sexual content. But I love the story and can't wait to see what happens next.

Good Points
I loved the characters! They were full of life, and the writer made them vivid and believable, which I love. I also (as a Wiccan ) loved the idea that they were witches. A lot of the festivals mentioned were completely correct, and the rituals, although made slightly different for the book, obviously, were very true to life. The author has obviously done her research, and it shows. The plot-line was exciting and pulled you along at just the right pace, and kept you hooked from the very first line.

Bad Points
Okay, this is a strange point, but…this is classed as a YA novel, and yet there were sex scenes within the book. Although they weren’t especially steamy, I don’t know how comfortable I’d be allowing a teenager to read a book with these kinds of scenes in, and it lowered my opinion of the book slightly. There was also the odd typing error, but not so many that I would not read it.

I thought this was a great book; imaginative and original. I was hooked from the first chapter, and couldn’t put it down at all. The characters were amazing, and the story and dialogue was written at just the right pace. I would recommend this book to anyone who loves magic and excitement, and wants a lovely romance to go along with it all. But I have to mark this book because there were sex scenes, and I don’t feel that it is appropriate for young teenagers to be reading.
I give this book……4/5 stars!

Ok this story was incredible, I couldn't stop reading it even when I tried 0.o The tatoo on her back has a meaning to it :) You need to read the story to find that out for yourself. This is a paranormal romance and boy is it wonderful :D Hot witches enter a new school. One of them is seen even in her invisable form by a male student (who is human?) Must read for further details on that as well ;) Her father own's drag racing strips and she is one of the drivers for them :D Hot damn hot cars as well, woot :D

It's been many years since I've read a book that I was unable to put down until I finished it.

Karli Rush takes you on a fantastic journey into two different worlds as she tells a story of love, revenge, and forgiveness. She makes you care about every one of the characters as they come more alive with each turn of a page, leaving you wanting to know even more about them and their worlds. I can't wait to read more!

My girlfriend and I had a bet, I lost and had to read this book. I'm giving it a five star because it is the first book that Ashley and I have read that we both liked. No, I didn't like some of it, but that was part of the fun, just when you think you know whats next, Bam!

When reviewing this book, I feel that one must take into account that this is a first published work for this author. From a technical standpoint I find that the book begins on a good note, crescendos well and then has a very satisfying ending. The progress in technique shown by the author from the first page to the last is staggering!

As far as the story goes, it's excellent! Well-envisioned, well-executed, and full of memorable characters doing memorable things. Not much more you can ask for there.

All-in-all, I certainly enjoyed Crescent Bound and I highly anticipate the rest of this series.
