About Meredith Rae Morgan

Meredith Morgan is a pseudonym, my professional and online identity. I write novels for and about strong women and self-publish them as eBooks on Smashwords.

I was raised in the Midwest but have roots in the Deep South. I have lived in Florida for the past fifteen years. I tend to alternate the settings for my stories between all three places. From that experience, I've discovered that I love Southern women, Midwestern men and I'm fascinated (in a weird and scary kind of way) by the people I've encountered in Florida, most of whom are from other places.

Besides writing, my passions are walking the beach, reading and cooking. For a more detailed bio, see my website.

A well written story though to my surprise I realised the esential parts of the ending, I don't know how. I found the development of the love affair too long , but that is a personal opinion.

Quite a good story and almost believable except the pprotagonists are a bit beyond realism—a smart and ethical feature reporter, and an undercover heroiine who goes through hell. Although the writing deserves top star, I resent the overkill.

Middle-aged reporter Ray Bailey is easy to like and sympathize with, as what starts out a potential big story turns into a charming romance. The vanishing lifestyle of Gulf Coast Florida is a big feature of this book — especially fishing, eating fish, and more fishing. Turns out Ray’s mystery woman is a whiz at fishing, and really rich, and great-looking. And a bunch of other things as well, some of them not so good. Kept me reading, and wondering.

I loved the characters in this novel, they are all really well drawn. Ray is a great character and the way he investigates and his relationships build up his character and the plot at the same time. A true mystery with a really likable "detective".

What a great book! The characters, especially Ray of course, draw you right into the story, and the situation and plot are realistic and intriguing. I've never been to Florida, but the ambience and feel of the descriptions feels absolutely right. Would be delighted to read more of Ray's adventures, and will try other books by this author.
