Vianesa Vargas is the founder of Capital Food Coaching, a wellness company dedicated to the health of busy people. She has used her own work-life experiences as a wife, mom, and Iraq War veteran to develop simple and easy-to-remember strategies that people can use to improve their lifestyles.
Vargas has a B.S. in biology, M.A. in communication, and is a certified nutritionist and life skills strategist. She is also a member of the Society of Nutrition Educators. Additionally, Vargas has participated in the Inter-University Program for Latino Research on Obesity at the University of Notre Dame and teaches wellness seminars at Georgetown University and nutrition classes for low-income women in Washington, D.C.
Aside from helping people make better food choices for life, Vargas enjoys traveling, cooking, pillow fights with her two sons and tickling them until they squeal.
