SAW - Sensational American Wrestling

Rated 4.50/5 based on 10 reviews
A parody on the sport of televised professional wrestling. Tex Rich, an oil rich Texan, creates his own wrestling federation where his sons can be champions but just like the real show, nothing goes as expected. Full of plot twists, off the wall commercial breaks and colorful characters, S.A.W. is a non-stop laughter filled roller coaster ride. More

About B.A. Savage

Update: **Until Smashwords takes care of the issue, I letting the fans of my books know that Chatter E (the person who did the last review) is an former disgruntled employee who only took the time to give the book a bad review AFTER he was let go. I have assembled a team of voice actors who will turn this book into an audio book, making it one of a kind. He is an 18 year old who is upset because he is no longer part of those plans due to his own 'limited reading skills' as he consistent misreads and misunderstood correspondences from our office. The reviews for the book, mostly are several years old, and since we just started taking up the voicing of the book in November, none are by employees and truth be one is from a person I knew when I first published this back in 2012, that person is now my wife.**

I plan on writing 30+ books, but I need help from you, the readers. Motivation is a tool that I lack. Creativity is a resource where "my cup" runneth over. So, please, if you have anything positive to say, polite criticism to give, or you simply want to say hi, feel free to. And remember, a review can be a detailed essay or a simple "I loved it".

I havent rec'd as much feedback as i would liked BUT the sheer number of total series downloads has been encouraging. A few more positive reviews and i will release the next in the series Century. Thank you to all who have supported me.

I have created a voice acting team to bring to life commercials from the book. Since it will be part of an audio book, please pay little attention to the actual video part. Thank you.

Well, I am not really sure what is going on but I do have to say I feel it was a class act the author of this book message me personally to ask if I would be willing to explain my review. He stated he is doing this to all of the prior reviewers due to a personal attack, again, not really sure what is going on but I love this book because its different. IMO anyone who gives a wrestling book a 1 star isnt a fan of wrestling (and at the same time say its not a horrible book? Does that even make sense?).

I LOVE WRESTLING, thats even why my name is Rocky (no not the boxer but The Rock's original WWE name).

I see some have said the jokes were crude or immature but again a person who isnt a wrestling fan cant understand the humor because DX, HBK, HHH all those guys were the definition of crude and immature jokes in the 80's and us wrestling fans love it.

It was joke after joke, just like the real thing, like with Jerry the King Lawler commentating, and Wil B Creamin, is clearly cut from the same cloth. I havent even thought of this book in years but I am glad to hear its coming in audio format. Maybe the non wrestling watcher will get 'it' when its in audio format because honestly, reading it felt like I was watching it, not reading it, which in itself is an accomplishment.

The book isn't horrible, just a power read.

The exposition is constant and rushed, dropping names, affiliations, and acronyms left and right. This makes it very difficult to figure out who is who.

The writing style makes me think that is was translated from a different language. Not in a way that things are said incorrectly, just in an odd way that made me stop a few times to wonder why he phrased it that way, or even included it at all.

The jokes are alright, but on par with a campfire skit. It's goofy and obvious, but you laugh because it's meant to be innocent... Just without the innocence.

Like I said, it's just a struggle to read through. Not horrible, but not worth it in my opinion.

I am so excited to hear that this book will soon be out in audio format. Cannot wait to be able to "see" the different wrestlers and characters as I hear the book's interpretation! Hope it comes out soon!!!

If you are okay with some crude humor, then this should be a worthwhile read. The over-the-top presentations of the wrestlers, the names of their moves, their speeches and best of all, the off-beat comments provided by the host (Wil B. Creamin) on the matches.

A great and funny read, I'm neither a big fan of wrestling or one of the 'haters' simply put I'm ambivalent about it. But this was very easy to read and get into and the one liners were hilarious as well as the colourful characters. Well done indeed!

This is such a fun book... I love Wil... and the character development of all your wrestlers is great. I can't wait to read the next book in the series and see what new wrestlers join the federation and what interesting interactions take place. This is such a creative book and has so much potential!
