Kansai Airport

In an oversexed, near-future Japan, a foreigner arrives in search of his estranged family. Leaving the airport, he finds a society in which men and women rarely interact, reproduction is the domain of foetus-incubating blow up dolls, and all are on high alert for the “North Korean evil enemy”. Perhaps he, too, is such an enemy.

About Patrik Sampler

Patrik Sampler is a writer and noise musician whose fiction and non-fiction has appeared in The Guardian, PRISM international, Marco Polo Arts Mag, and other publications. As a member of dupobs, he helped establish the ‘regressive’ movement in anti-music. His interest in butoh dance has resulted in a few minor performances. Sampler has an MA in literature, through which his main focus was Abe Kobo. He is co-director of Landfill Publishing.
