About Lisa Dee

I am a writer of short stories currently residing in Canada. I write both genre (horror and SF) and literary pieces. Some of my favourite authors are Austen, Dickens, Shakespeare, E. M. Delafield, and E.F. Benson.

My latest collection is a series of lite horror short stories entitled He Sees You When You're Sleeping - available on Smashwords and Amazon.

Feedback is certainly welcome. Thanks!

This is an amazing collection of short stories. I was pulled into the weird, unsettling mind of Lisa Dee from the very first story, "He Sees You When You're Sleeping," hooked like a fish and reeled back and forth through each story as my mind whirled in thrilling anticipation of an unexpectedly chilling, and surprising end to each story. Although not usually a cat person, I loved "Mr. McGinty," and shivered in pleased shock at the ending. "2.2.2" pulled me into the mysterious world of numbers and I found myself as tormented as the main character, desperately trying to make sense of the patterns emerging around her. One of my favourite stories in this collection was "Adrift," a slow but compelling revelation of the mysterious past of a genuinely kind but deeply tormented soul. Images from that story still reverberate in my dreams. If you want to read extremely well-written and deeply satisfying stories, then this collection of stories is for you. I can't wait to read more by this author in the future.

“Awesome collection. I liked that first story a lot - very creepy. The time traveller one was cool. This is a nice collection of long and short stories and there's a real variety. The "Mr. Mcginty" was my friend's favourite. Recommend."

An interesting read. Each of these short stories are enjoyable in their own right. Light and easy, each story, though short, does well to take the reader into their imagination and along to another world.A dash of the weird, a pinch of the surreal and an intriguing twist at the end of each, they all kept me entertained and immersed as I travelled along with the writer.Overall a good read and for me, one I enjoyed.
