Hallee Bridgeman is a best-selling Christian author who writes action-packed romantic suspense focusing on realistic characters who face real world problems. Her work has been described as everything from refreshing to heart-stopping exciting and edgy.
An Army brat turned Floridian, Hallee finally settled in central Kentucky with her family so that she could enjoy the beautiful changing of the seasons. She enjoys the roller-coaster ride thrills that life with a National Guard husband, a teenaged daughter, and two elementary aged sons delivers.
A prolific writer, when she's not penning novels, you will find her in the kitchen, which she considers the 'heart of the home'. Her passion for cooking spurred her to launch a whole food, real food "Parody" cookbook series. In addition to nutritious, Biblically grounded recipes, readers will find that each cookbook also confronts some controversial aspect of secular pop culture.
Hallee is a member of the Published Author Network (PAN) of the Romance Writers of America (RWA) where she serves as a long time board member in the Faith, Hope, & Love chapter. She is a member of the American Christian Fiction Writers (ACFW) and the American Christian Writers (ACW) as well as being a member of Novelists, Inc. (NINC).
Hallee loves coffee, campy action movies, and regular date nights with her husband. Above all else, she loves God with all of her heart, soul, mind, and strength; has been redeemed by the blood of Christ; and relies on the presence of the Holy Spirit to guide her. She prays her work here on earth is a blessing to you and would love to hear from you. You can reach Hallee at email@example.com

Sapphire Ice follows the eldest Robin Bartlett, who is just struggling to make it day to day. After a horrific childhood and scary adolescence Robin has worked hard every day to make sure her sisters are taken care of. Currently working 2 jobs after putting one sister through college and working on putting the other sister though Robin is very tunnel minded. No time for men (they are nothing but a source of pain and violence for her anyway) or God until she runs into Antonio "Tony" Viscolli.
Antonio "Tony" Viscolli has not had an easy life either. Until the day he walked into a downtown church, where he found himself before the alter. After accepting God into his life he worked hard to carve out a name for himself and with his name and wealth he became a generous force for God.

This book was EXCELLENT! Hallee writes really well and creates a story that the reader can see in his or her mind. I really like how she brought Christianity into the book. It was very realistic and the characters were good examples of true Christians. The only thing I wasn't crazy about was that Tony's character was so rich so young, it seemed a little too unlikely. I was able to overlook that though and thoroughly enjoy the book. I read it in about two days. I didn't want to put it down. I can't wait for the second! :)

Honestly, I don't like romance novels. They're trashy and just unappealing. However, Sapphire Ice is NOTHING like that! It has great character development and a great story line. This is truly a great romance novel because it doesn't have any of the yuck and lots of the "Awwww". Hallee has a way with words that makes you want to keep reading, even if it's midnight and you need to go to bed! Admittedly, the book took me a day to read, it was that good (but with three little kids running around it took a while to get to the review).

Hallee's debut book, Sapphire Ice, is guaranteed to be a good read. Join Robin in the first book of this inspiring trilogy, as she journeys through life, learning what truly matters, and how earthly love and Christ's love can triumph over any life experience. I can honestly say that I had trouble putting this book down. In fact, I didn't. I read it cover to cover in one sitting. From start to finish Hallee had me with her creative storyline that didn't quite follow your run of the mill "inspirational romance". Instead of trying to fit into a box she crafted her book with edgy romance that knows its boundaries. Just as you think you know how the story is ending, she adds a twist that makes you wonder....how will it really end? Will Robin and Tony find forever love or will they let poor choices and life experiences keep them from experiencing love?
Buy it now because book 2 is coming about a week away and you want to be ready for it. I got a sneak peek at it and it's even better than the first but you HAVE to read the first to truly get the second. Have fun reading!
