I purchased this book when it was first published as a mass market paperback, and once I finished reading it, it went on my keeper shelf. I've had to get rid of the physical keeper shelf, and have been slowly repurchasing in e format as availability and budget allow. Needless to say I was happy when I saw this title was available. I reread it after download and am still pleased with the title. It has that quality I call charm. The characters are zany, the situation a little off the wall, as it should be in a magic laced romantic comedy.
This is solidly a romance novel, with all that implies. The villain of the piece is fairly obvious from the beginning, but that is not why you keep reading. It is for the characters and how they interact. Nobody in the story is a pushover and the dialog is snappy, and the solid world building provides its own plot points.
After I read this book the first time I kept an eye out for more novels from Ms. Anderson. I hope that the re-release of this title is a harbinger of more to come.
