Not to my personal taste, a little different to many historical romances.

Very different to the first book of Christine McCaffrie, "The Janus Illusion" even though based around the same area. Loved both of them and can't wait for another!

Christine McCaffrie has done a superb job in describing a period of our history not often written about. For a good read I thoroughly recommend In Pursuit of Happiness.

Thoroughly enjoyed the book. Good story - interesting right to the end. Hard to put down once you started. Actually had a decent ending whereas most books leave you questioning the outcome - this book fills in all the blanks. Hanging out for another book from this author.
