Review by: msaffer on Sep. 2, 2012 :
I found the story to be both educative and emotional. I am related to the Burke family. Many questions I had throughout the years were answered. I can imagine how my cousin, Anderson Burke, must have felt after so many years of searching for answers himself. I can only imagine what Anderson felt as he met his younger brother in St. Augustine. Thank you cousin Anderson for putting things into perspective.

This well written story was backed up by its attention to detail and Anderson's extensive research. I’ve paid attention to Anderson’s written words ever since I first read his novel, West of Indigo Blues, published in 2007.

Fine job.

This is a must read for those who have family members with developmental disabilities as well as those who work with and care about them. We need to remember and understand their histories, before we move into the future.
