Chris Mason is a software engineer who would rather have been a writer, but he is addicted to coding and couldn't figure out how to support himself writing obscure novels. He worked as a programmer and programming manager for 18 years -- including 10 years at Microsoft, where he was involved with Word and Office for Macintosh. He has three software patents stashed somewhere in his closet.
After leaving Microsoft for good he founded GrowlyBird Software, which develops free Macintosh applications.
During his years in the wilderness he wrote five novels (among other things), which are available here.
He lives in Florida so he can go to DisneyWorld at a moment's notice. He and his wife are the caretakers of two dogs, two cats, and two parrots. He's seriously considering building an ark.
Because he's a workaholic curmudgeon with hermit tendencies, he doesn't engage in social media. But you can contact him at email@example.com.

Dear Mrs. Bambi,
I love you. Truly, this book by Chris Mason is one of the freshest books I have read in ages! Movie material, for sure.
I encouraged friends to read it so we could "chat" about it during our Chat'n Chuckles get togethers. All loved it and agreed Mrs. Bambi's caustic honesty went down ever so easily when being fed to us by such good soul, Richard.
The characters, whether campy or wayward, are so touchable and certainly, grabbed hold of my heart.
Great Read!! It had something for everyone.
P.S. Perhaps Mrs. Bambi's newspaper column could save the flailing industry?!

I've said it before—Chris Mason is brilliant. Mrs. Bambi Knows is an easy going story of an anonymous local hero with a dark side. Mrs. Bambi is the advice columnist from Hell who is also a mysterious philanthropic single parent with a bevy of friends who happen to all be lesbians. Confused? Of course you are. That's why you must drop everything and read this book now.
