Excellent, well written story, if somewhat predictable. Enjoyed it, nevertheless.

Excellent short story, very highly recommended. The descriptions of life in a small, cold, nowhere town, where everyone knows everyone and there's no place to go, no where to hide, are vivid. Suspenseful and poignant climax. Told from first person pov--Frank is a thief, a liar, a drunk, an opportunist, doesn't like cats, doesn't owe up to his own faults...we all know people like him, but he's not the real villain of the story.
