A richly detailed action-adventure/romance/fantasy. It started off slow for me, but found myself firmly entrenched in an epic quest. Mystery and intrigue surround and propel these fascinating characters throughout a very enjoyable read. You'll find many threads woven into the story that ...I kept on earth is she going to pull this all together? She does. (Worth paying for book 2 to find out)

I thoroughly enjoyed both books. Rhona and Ruel needed more work, but all in all, I really enjoyed visiting your world. Please keep writing.

Another amazing read. I like snooping the free sections for some hidden gems and this was a class novel. Anything in the fantasy genre wets my apetite and this was no exception. Congrats on the rave reviews and they are well earned.

A lovely little fantasy novel. This novel manages to be refreshing and feels original. The heroine is likable and clever. The magic people wield have clear limits and do not save them from all their problems. Not perfect but several steps above most of the free fantasy novels on Smashwords.

The sequel is worth buying.

I suspect the author is a "Browncoat," which should recommend her novel to some adventurous readers.
I enjoy reading and do a lot of it, which can sometimes be a burden reading new books and authors for experience allows one to predict elements of a story. Jasmine Giacomo was able to surprise me with some story twists, for that alone I would recommend this book and it's sequel 'Oathen.' She developed interesting and sympathetic characters in a fun good versus evil plot. I recommend 'The Wicked Heroine' and 'Oathen' to anyone who enjoys Science Fantasy.
Shiny indeed Jasmine Giacomo!
