At The Turning Point (Choices: Story One)

Rated 4.50/5 based on 4 reviews
When Donna decides to mark her divorce with a trip to Las Vegas, she doesn’t expect to find herself with a ring on her finger at the bedside of a man she hardly knows. But her experience there helps her gain the wisdom she needs to make her own life-altering decision.

A short story. Not a typical happily-ever-after romance. Also includes an excerpt from "Last Flight From Flagstaff." More

I loved the way that just when it seems like things will work out, one more plot twist comes along to keep me reading. I loved the characters and am glad that Donna had her ah-ha moment in the end.

Donna is a quirky character and wonderful choice of protagonists. The situation she finds herself in is strange, yet the author does a great job of making it believable. Irony sneaks onto the pages, making an otherwise poignant story humorous and entertaining. I look forward to reading more from Beth Carpenter.

I thought this book was a very good read and I enjoyed it. It would make a very good novel if expanded.
