About Min Belin

Middle child that I am, I was born right in the middle of the baby boom. Childhood for me was straight out of the American Dream, Texas-style, while my coming of age came about during the crucial years of the late 60’s and early 70’s, along with the Beatles, Viet Nam, the counter culture, and alternative life styles. At 22, after a brief stint at the university, followed by a bout of working and traveling the US in search of self, I took a bus to Mexico, where I eventually found my partner of partners, Car, married him twice (once in each country), and embarked on a new adventure which included a new culture, a new language, and becoming a parent, a role I inevitably relearned with each of my 5 children! After 15 years of moving around in our camper and trying different places on for size, we finally settled in our own place in central Mexico, where I’m living at present, teaching English, doing translations, painting, writing, and working on different projects that grab my interest.
