About Frederick J Smith

I am an Afrikaans writer living in Centurion Gauteng.I am a pensioner retired since 1991 after serving in the SANDF (AIR FORCE) for 26 years.I am married to a marvelous wife and have three beautiful daughters, two grand daughters and three grand sons, whom I love dearly. I am addicted to reading and writing, especially in the Afrikaans language, my mother tongue. I come from a large family of ten children and was raised in the Orange Free State, one of the provinces in the Republic of South Africa. The small town of Hennenman was my inspiration to become a writer one day....although many, many years later, my dream came true. I hope that the Afrikaans readers of my books will enjoy them as much as i enjoyed writing them......i'm convinced they will love them...! xxx

This is a book that really had me thinkink! I first read the hard copy and then the ebook. Because of all the hang ups some Afrikaans people got........this is merele a show off or something, but in any case I took the hard copy to 2 of my lady friends....aged 79 and 82 years of age. I really enjoyed the book and again the love scenes was described in a very acceptable, non offensive and hilarious way. I was quite uncertain when I went back to my friends to collect the book and their opinion. These 2 ladies had tears streaming down their faces with laughter! They asked me to please state their opinion : this book took them back many years ago........said how can anybody classify this book as adult reading? Is it because no obsence descriptions are used? Well I agree......this author has an unique style of writing and describing the "male and female genitals".......is this really what stops the Afrikaans people from reading.........no offensive language? I wish I knew. I for certain will keep on promoting this author and I rate this as an above average book..........especially in the Afrikaans language. Keep it up Frederick J Smith......your books are well worth reading!
