About Frederick J Smith

I am an Afrikaans writer living in Centurion Gauteng.I am a pensioner retired since 1991 after serving in the SANDF (AIR FORCE) for 26 years.I am married to a marvelous wife and have three beautiful daughters, two grand daughters and three grand sons, whom I love dearly. I am addicted to reading and writing, especially in the Afrikaans language, my mother tongue. I come from a large family of ten children and was raised in the Orange Free State, one of the provinces in the Republic of South Africa. The small town of Hennenman was my inspiration to become a writer one day....although many, many years later, my dream came true. I hope that the Afrikaans readers of my books will enjoy them as much as i enjoyed writing them......i'm convinced they will love them...! xxx

Well, I must admit that I was surprized! This is definitely a first for the Afrikaans market, being sensual without being pornographic. It is a novel that you can deeply identify with. Human emotions are portrayed magnificently and it shows that humans are humans, full of sin. Looking forward to the next book, as this author always seem to have an element of surprize in his novels. Well done!

As a usually non Afrikaans reader I must congratulate the author on this book Maskers! Yes I was blushing my way through the reading process, yet realizing this is real life. What really amazed me is the description the author used for the love scenes! Sensual, but not explicit or graphic. This is an excellent story line and again I state I enjoyed it especially as I could not connect this to pornographic reading. Will immediately download his other books and I say well done Frederick J Smith, I see a marvelous feature for you as a writer!
