About Isobella Blye

I never imagined myself writing erotic fiction. The closest I ever came was a brief dream in my youth of writing a Mills & Boon novel. (If you think that's cringe-worthy remember I was YOUNG!)Back then I looked at all the sad people slogging away unhappily in their mundane jobs and pitied them. You see, I was special, made for greater things. I had no doubt my writing would propel me to the tops of the best seller lists and I’d live happily, if somewhat smugly, ever after. My 9-5 job was as boring as the rest of them, but that didn’t matter. It was all temporary.
It soon became evident that finishing a novel was a little trickier than I’d hoped. The years went by, and I married and had two children. I also tried on various careers for size. My writing dwindled to long rambling diary entries and little else. There were a few half-hearted attempts at getting back into it. I bought several books on how to write a best-seller, hoping to unlock some secret.
Well, I'm still waiting to discover the secret, but I'm a little closer to my dream now and a hell of a lot more humble!
My foray into erotica began when my husband asked me to read an erotic story he'd downloaded. After reading a few pages I threw it back at him in disgust. “That’s rubbish and it’s obviously written by a male. It doesn’t turn me on, it makes me feel ill.”
“So do you think you can do better?” he challenged.
The seed was planted and it flowered in a most unexpected way. Not long after that conversation, I had a 6 hour drive from Sydney to a small country town. I had a recorder in the car with me. Why not see if I could write a few erotic short stories by recording them? Those six hours flew by. To my amazement and delight I found that the words flowed without hesitation. The scenes were clear. I was transported.
So that’s how it all began! My goal is to write stories that are compelling and arousing. I’m juggling full time work with writing and it’s not easy. I no longer look at other people trapped in soul-destroying jobs with pity. Now I see people just like me, doing the best they can. We all have secrets. We all have dreams. We all have fantasies.
It gives me great joy to share some of my naughty fantasies. I hope it gives you delicious pleasure to read them ;-)

I'm on the fence with this story.

Overall, I thought the writing was fantastic but I had a serious issue with how quickly Natasha agreed to meet Francoise.

After 20 years Francoise sends an email saying he's back and she starts primping herself to meet him? I would've expected Natasha's hurt and anger to kick in immediately. I also would've hoped Francoise's first text to say that he wanted to explain what happened, not just a "I'm here, how soon can you come over" type of email.

20 years is also a very long time. The story mentions she's had two children. Is she still married? Is Francoise married? His texts seem awfully arrogant in assuming she wasn't happily married.

The sex was hot but I wouldn't have been distracted if:
A: Time passed was only 1 or 2 years, or
B: Francoise started his email saying he wanted a chance to explain what happened.

I've read the other two ebooks. Enjoyed them both. This one however took me on a bit of a journey. I like a book that can do that. Fantasy, sure.

This was an excellent short story! The writer had me hooked from the word go and I really liked her writing style. You can tell it's written by a woman too. I'll look out for more from this author.

A story of lost love found again, with excellent character development for a short story. Kept my attention to the end. Loved the raunchy bits too....
