About Paul Hawkins

American author. I am happy to be a child of the space age and I still set my sights on great things. I put humor in everything I write because that is my disposition. If I chronicle the 20th century it is only because I have not given up on the 21st.

You're guaranteed a belly laugh from at least one of these tiny comedic gems. Hawkins is a master of the comedic shift from the grand and pompous to the trivial and silly. I haven't laughed so hard since Mark Twain's _1601_. My favorites among these one- and two-page stories: Aladdin's Genie, The Slightly Evil Mirror, The Dog Tree, Saint Dunstan, and The New Atlantis. I laughed so hard from several of these that I couldn't breathe.

An enjoyable collection of flash fiction, with the third and eighth stories approaching brilliance.
