About the Series: The Claudia Hershey Mysteries

After years of dealing with murders and the long hours of investigation they require, Claudia Hershey, a tough, highly respected Cleveland, Ohio homicide detective, makes a career-changing move, joining the police department in Indian Run, a small town in Central Florida. Claudia is raising a 13-year-old daughter on her own, and she wants stability in her daughter’s life. To accomplish that, she’s willing to put up with the town's suspicious population, and the good ‘ol boy cop shop she joins. For her, that’s a minor challenge. At least that’s what she thinks. But life, of course, rarely works out predictably—and small towns harbor their own secrets.

Well written and engaging. I agree the ending was a bit rushed but overall a very good read.

I enjoyed this book very much. The story was engaging and kept me interested through the end.

I gave four stars instead of five because the ending was a bit rushed and didn't have as much closure as I was expecting. Also some of the characters weren't that well-drawn and flitted in and out of the story.

I would highly recommend this to anyone who enjoys mystery stories.
