About Susannah Carlton

Born and educated in the United Kingdom,Susannah Carlton lived in London as a child. Her career started in teaching and it was as a teacher that she worked first in England and then in Sweden. Later she made a career change and started writing professionally as a journalist before finally taking on a position as a counsellor specialising in domestic violence.

Susannah has always retained her passion for writing and has had several plays produced for the theatre, radio and television. She now lives between her home in Somerset, in the South West of England and her Paris flat in France. She feels both fortunate and privileged to be able to experience the best of both of these wonderful countries. She is the mother of three grown up children and has drawn on her life’s experiences to write her début novel 'Lonely Mirrors'.
