Don Casselman writes from his personal experiences in living in the Kirk household and from working for Mr. Kirk in the furnace business. So from about 1941 when Don went to work for Mr. Kirk until Roger Kirk's death in 1966, there were many first-hand memories experienced by Casselman, and in addition there were many stories related to Don Casselman as he worked side by side with Mr. Kirk.
