Jane's experiences include writing and editing for authors (nonfiction and fiction; numerous genres).

Jane is actively compiling facts and experiences to write a bibliography of her mother, Gleva M. Jacobson. Gleva's wisdom and fortitude as an entrepreneur created a legacy worthy of sharing. Gleva was the owner and general manager of Hills Telephone Company, an independent telephone company with eight (8) exchanges in Minnesota and Iowa, from 1954 until it was sold in 1980. During this same time she was a secretary for Dale D. Jacobson, Inc., consulting engineers. A shared passion of Gleva and Dale's was to buy old houses and remodel them into apartments. They also had constructed two twelve-unit colonial-style apartment buildings located in Estherville, Iowa. The twenty-four units were later sold as condominiums.

Smashwords is a self-serve publishing service. Authors and independent publishers upload their manuscripts as Microsoft Word files to the Smashwords service, which converts the files into multiple e-book formats for reading on various e-book reading devices. Once published, the books are made available for sale online at a price set by the author or indie publisher.

Review by: Roger F. Miller on Dec. 22, 2013 :
Entertaining but factual story of two friends, one of whom has insulin dependent diabetes. As he tells his friend about the condition, he provides valuable information to young readers which may lessen their alarm about diabetes and it's control.
