Review by: James Kovas on Nov. 26, 2012 :
A tale of fantasy promises to open up new realms of wonder and make the reader feel every sort of human emotion possible. Twixt Heaven and Hell delivers all this with angels, demons, magic and battles both between the angels and demons and between their human alliances. This novel describes the sights, sounds and smells of not only battles but the topography of the land and gamey aura of an army camp. The battles between the angels and the demons are imaginative and the relationship between the angels and demons and humans alternates between thought-provoking and disturbing. I would have liked to know how Traigan, the evil leader of the humans, dealt with the climactic changes at the end of the novel. Perhaps this will be covered in an appendix?
