About Melissa R. Smith

I'm an independent author looking for a following. I've spent the past ten years writing in various genre's, including historical and contemporary fanfiction. However, most all of my full length novels are of the area of paranormal romance. You'll find my books to have strong, adult female characters, a touch of humor and minimal sexual content. If you like my books, please spread the word!

Good writing style, it will really draw you into the story. I also liked the sanguine concept although the idea of a militia isn't new to the genre it served its purpose to add a bit of an edge to the story.

What bothered me a lot was how the only reason the plot moved along was because of one ridiculous misunderstanding afted another. The first one was all right, but again and again and again?

It's a good thing the story ended with a decent closure. Although there were a few unanswered questions, it was nothing major. It would've been annoying to have to purchase another book to get a resolution/HEA.

Really got into this book from the first page. Loved Reece and Madeline's story. With twists I didn't see coming. Bravo!

This was a very pleasant surprise. The characters are deep and well fleshed out. The background story was very plausible and as realistic as can be when discussing vampires. The only disappointment was the one full sex scene which was a bit perfunctory for all the passion described.

I have to say that I've never been a huge fan of vampire novels, but I took this as a recommendation and I'm glad I did. I really did like it! Your characters are well developed and likeable, the story is interesting and most of all, yeah it's vampires, but you made an alternative world of living with them very believable.

Your writing style is very easy and quick to read, I was able to finish it in a couple of days. I plan to read more of your books and I hope you write more in the future.
