About Carlus Wilmot

Carlus Wilmot discovered his love for writing in 1974 through Short Stories and Poetry. In 1980, while attending UW Stevens Point, Carlus was published for the first time and traveled with a poetry group called The Friends of Poetry.
Through the 80's and 90's, while struggling with substance abuse, he still managed to get poems published in a few small press magazines. By 1994 he stopped writing, but began again after treatment in 2004. Carlus moved from his hometown of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, four days after burying his older brother, Donald Parks, in 2007. He is now a resident of Congress, Arizona, and works at a Treatment Facility. He has 3 poetry collections published.
