About Tim Boyle

With a unique world perspective, a head filled with strange opinions, and a dark sarcasm in everything he does Tim Boyle is must read. In the summer of 2012 he published his first book, a humorous fictional tale titled "Satan: Little League Superstar" about Satan joining a little league baseball team.

In November of 2012 he published his second book, a short diary based story about a man's outlandish battle with mother nature during Hurricane Sandy called "Surviving Sandy: A Battle Against That Deadly Whore Mother Nature."

So far in 2013 he has added to his collection "Silence: My Worst Stand-Up Comedy Performances and Experiences." Unlike the previous two published works, this is autobiographical. One would think I am here because the author himself paid me to write this but you would be wrong; I'm here because he asked me to review it for free.

Normally I'd have said no but this is Tim Boyle we're talking about here! And I expect him to give my first novel a glowing review when that is eventually released.

I digress, I've been a fan of Tim's writing for awhile now so when he released his first novel I jumped at the chance to get my (free) copy of it and read through it. As expected his unique brand of humour is imprinted through out this book making it an enjoyable read. I went into this not knowing anything whatsoever about Baseball and I can safely say I know a little bit more than I did beforehand.

Anyone that can make Satan a lovable character deserves high marks from anyone as he eventually turns his misfit teammates into super powered misfit teammates trying to win a little league Baseball championship. For a first offering this book is brilliant; he certainly has a talent as a comedic writer and I look forward to many more stories that will be created from the twisted mind of Tim Boyle.

Buy it and be thoroughly entertained.

A unique first novel, written in the very distinct voice that is Tim Boyle. From the opening line through the amusing Q&A session at the end of the novel, you are treated to Tim's view of the world, a view that can, at times, be a bit skewed.

Did I enjoy this? Truth be told, it was out of my usual zone of reading, and, not something I'd normally pick up and buy/read. With that said, I found it interesting and quirky.

Tim has a way with words and phrases--one of my favorites is found in an early chapter:

"One of the seven deadly sins. Gleaming" Still makes me laugh.
