About Dennis Weiser

Essayist, novelist, philosopher and poet D. C. Weiser is a longtime Kansas City area writer. An excerpt from CRASH DUMMIES, “Tzytzyan Ysalane” won First Prize for Prose Fiction at the 2004 Chicago Printers Row Book Fair. His sci-fi-fantasy satire of corporate culture THE THIRD AWAKENING was successfully crowd-funded via unglue.it and released worldwide as a free e-book in 2012. The self-published author of nineteen books of poetry, fiction and nonfiction, he has given readings at Barnes & Noble, The Writers Place, and Westminster College. His articles, poems and stories have appeared most recently in The Five-Two: Crime Poetry Weekly, Unlikely Stories Episode IV, and several anthologies from Outrider Press. He recently finished a screen adaptation of The Soul Snatcher of Java and is actively pitching the spec script to Hollywood producers. His latest story “The Last Whale” appeared in the premiere issue of THE HUNGRY CHIMERA in March 2017.
