I was pleasantly drawn into the world which J-L Heylen has created in Bride of The City. Not having read this genre before, I am now looking forward to reading more about the adventures of Carla in New Sydney City.

I really enjoyed this short story, the characterisation is realistic, the story fascinating, the concepts interesting, Sydney in the future after an environmental calamity. Being an Australian I enjoyed it being set in a place I know, even if it its many years into the future. I really want to read the next installment, hope its published soon!
