About Ernest Winchester

I began spinning yarns at a young age, regaling my audience (my long suffering mother) each afternoon with tall tales of the second grade happenings of the day.
Years later, the duties of raising a family of five children curtailed my writing cravings until retirement allowed time to indulge my fertile imagination. I can now claim the dubious title of author without fearing being struck by lightning for lying. Over a dozen novels—only four published so far—and close to two dozen short stories total my output since I starting drawing SS checks. Retirement is grand.

I very much enjoyed Girl in the Gondola. Ernst Winchester has the ability to build a story slowly but keep the reader intrigue. I felt a quiet suspense from the start to end. The story wasn't sexual, but it was sensual, more of a traditional erotica, something Moravia might have written.

I enjoyed this well-written story although I was a bit disappointed by the ending to be honest. The writing is as smooth as a latte (with a little bit of bitter chocolate on the side).
Couple of typos.

An enjoyable story, Kind of like a gondola ride. You think you are getting on to see what is at the top but somewhere along the way you realize all the fun is on the journey.

I enjoyed this story. It flowed smoothly and even though I thought I figured out the ending, I was close but no cigar. Well worth reading!!!
