Review by: Megan on Aug. 25, 2012 :
Vampire Slave part 5 is the perfect end to a scintillating read. Dusty and Thalos are slowly coming to their penultimate showdown with Johann and things are not looking good for them. With multiple organizations working against them the politics of this piece are fast-paced and easy to understand with liberal sprinklings of the smexiness we all know and love from Yamila.

My only complaint was that this book wasn't long enough! This chapter sees the characters grow and come to understandings. Dusty's character in particular develops quite nicely and as always I love how Yamila avoids relegating her characters to the typical idioms, themese, and archetypes found in Yaoi. Her characters are new, inventive, and refreshing and as always her works are well worth the money. Five stars from me hands down!

Vampire Slave Part 5 is the perfect end to a titillating series. With Johann ready to level his penultimate attack against Vampire Poison at any cost it is up to Dusty and Thalos to save the day working against the very notions each of their own kind stand for. The politics are fast-paced but easy to understand, the romantic story-line is not rushed and continues in a reasonable pace, and as always the character dialogue is immensely enjoyable. Yamila can never be accused of creating one dimensional characters or catering to the tropes and themes that dictate so much Yaoi.

All in all it was a great read and as always the smut was... scintillating. My only complaint was that this book wasn't longer. ;_;
