Review by: John Belt on June 08, 2011 :
The story is pretty run of the mill zombie fiction, nothing surprising here. The reasoning behind the plague is incredibly cliché, almost to the point of ludicrous. How the protagonist is linked to the whole zombie conspiracy is rather contrived as are a number of the situations he finds himself involved in.

The author, although a bit wordy, is a skilled writer. His characters are relatively believable, with faults and virtues like any person. The story, although a rehash of many better novels, is still interesting.

Even though the story is a series of overused elements, it is still a tolerably enjoyable read.

I've read alot of zombie fiction and thought this was a decent read. I'm guessing from the ending there will be a sequel and I would probably check it out.

I really enjoyed this book! It was well written, humorous and at times haunting. The author's descriptions were vivid and gruesome, but not over the top. Buy this book. If you like zombies, you'll like LZR.
